Digital Marketing Officer
Business School, University of Edinburgh
This new post sits within the Business School's Marketing team. You will manage our digital presence, with the main focus of the role being to work via third party websites, mobile channels and other avenues. This will involve delivering stand alone projects to establish and maintain a digital presence in new areas. You will contribute content to external and internal websites, as well as delivering digital campaigns via email, click-through campaigns etc.
With a background in digital marketing and with extensive experience with social media, you will have used a variety of tools and technologies to build and maintain on-line communities in support of business activities. You will also work closely with the School web team and have extensive experience and proven ability in writing for the web. -
Early Career Fellow in Finance

The Business School is further extending its activities in the financial and professional services sector, building on Edinburgh's position as one of Europe's major financial centres.
As part of this expansion, we are seeking high quality, research-active academics to join our Accounting and Finance Group. All specialisms within the finance area will be considered, although there is a specific need for people who can teach in the area of investment and financial markets. An enthusiasm and willingness to engage with the corporate community is highly desirable.
The appointments will be fixed-term for 3 years. -
Junior Web Developer and Content Editor

Expansion of the Business School's activities has led to an increase in demand for web services. This new post of Junior Web Developer & Content Editor offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment and to collaborate in the design and development of School websites and services. The external website is vital in the marketing of our programmes and other activities. We also have a number of intranets which are increasingly essential to the provision of learning and administrative support.
You will have experience in building dynamic websites using LAMP technologies, have a good understanding of relational databases, and preferably some experience of working with PHP based Content Management Systems. Experience of using JavaScript frameworks such as jQuery is required, as is an understanding of the latest web standards. -
Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Accounting or Finance

Web Services Manager

Your role is to manage the School web team and to drive the development and implementation of the overall strategy and growth of School web services. This must integrate with the School's overall brand and marketing strategy, meet the business needs of both internal and external audiences and stimulate interest from quality student applicants and academic faculty.
The external website is vital in the marketing of our programmes and other activities. We also have a number of intranets which are increasingly essential to the provision of learning and administrative support. The School websites are run on the Squiz Matrix content management system, augmented with a portfolio of separate PHP web applications.
