Information for parents

Both the University of Edinburgh and Internship Scotland are committed to your son or daughter's security, personal development, and professional development during their participation in the Business in the Arts programme.

On-site support is provided, including:

• Dedicated members of staff available at all times during the programme including evening and weekends.
• An orientation session, where interns learn about safety and emergency issues. Students are provided with the telephone number and address of the US Consulate in Edinburgh.

All accommodation is located in safe neighbourhoods and comply with all of the most-recent safety regulations. Accommodation is provided by Internship Scotland.

Edinburgh is one of the safest cities in Europe, with a very low crime rate and a large student population. The summer period especially attracts like-minded young people from all over the world who enjoy the cosmopolitan atmosphere.
