University homeAccreditation
The University of Edinburgh maintains good relationships with a number of accounting and finance professionals. There will be several guest lecturers from within the accounting and finance industry, and there will be the opportunity for students to meet with practitioners to discuss issues related to research or career opportunities.
The University of Edinburgh Business School is recognised as a partner institution by the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA©) Institute. This means that the MSc in Accounting and Finance is judged by the Institute as covering in some way at least 70 per cent of the CFA curriculum. The degree will therefore assist those who choose to study for the CFA qualification.
As a CFA Program Partner we are also required to teach a module on ethics and standards of professional practice. This will be done via workshops that will comprise a combination of lecture material, case studies, group discussion and guest lectures.
