University homeStudent experience - Sapfo Stavridou
I graduated from the department of Economics at Athens University of Economics and Business where I specialised in Business and Financial Economics. What motivated me to apply for an MSc was my wish to extend my knowledge and have a deeper understanding of the issues I was taught during my undergraduate programme.
One of the most important features of this programme is that it combines theoretical as well as practical elements. Except for the lectures and the book materials, we have been assigned some very interesting and market-oriented projects that provide us with the opportunity to implement what we are taught in real world cases. Furthermore, there is a very constructive relationship between the students and the professors.
The second semester offers more specialised and advanced courses such as Research Methods in Finance and Investment and the opportunity to choose from a list of attractive options. Thus, I expect it to be an even more interesting and challenging period.
By the end of this year I expect to have cultivated my analytical skills and to have gained a more in-depth knowledge of my field of interest. Furthermore, I believe that I will feel much more confident when it comes time to join the workforce.
