Student experience - Anettha Suresh Basu

I am from Tamil Nadu, India. I have an undergraduate degree in Bachelor of Commerce from Bharathiar University and did a Postgraduate Diploma in Advertising and Communication from PSG Institute of Technology.

I chose the MSc in Management because it provides an overview of all the areas in management and I particularly liked the choice of options. These provide more analysis and more in-depth case studies than elsewhere. The University of Edinburgh Business School has a good ranking for this subject – both the University and the programme itself.

The lectures with professionals in the industry are very informative and I enjoy mixing with classmates. But I’ve also found the careers service to be very useful. I want to go into retailing or advertising and I would love to stay here for a few more years.

My initial impressions of Scotland are that it is, obviously, very different from India – much colder but also a lot greener.
