As befits a major international business school, Edinburgh has a wealth of facilities dedicated to the advancement of our students.
Research students have dedicated space in shared offices with networked pcs, wifi network and access to printers, copiers and telephones. Research students also have access to the University Library, one of the best in the country, and to the National Library of Scotland which also has a specialised business information service.
The centre of the Business School's knowledge base is the Hub. This provides students and faculty with comprehensive study facilities and electronic access to a vast array of specialist research databases, online journals and many of the leading financial information services.
The PhD Programme has an annual budget allocation to support the attendance of individual doctoral students at conferences, facilitate organisation of research seminar and/or workshops to benefit PhD students, and the provision of social events during the year.
The School is located on our lively University campus in the heart of the city. We are continually investing in the future of our students. This is perhaps best exemplified by the School’s new state of the art building which we moved into in 2010.The new building features eight lecture theatres, numerous syndicate rooms and breakout spaces, a cafe and fully equipped resource centre, computer labs, a trading room and an executive education suite. Dedicated PhD suites are located at the heart of the new building, adjacent to the main academic offices.
