In an international business world, it is important we have an understanding not only of the global business dimension, but also of the cultures and languages of the individual markets we deal with. The only true way to gain these valuable insights is to spend time there.

There are three ways to achieve just this on our undergraduate programmes.

Under the ERASMUS/ SOCRATES scheme, selected students spend their third year at another European university. We already have arrangements with institutions in Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy and Spain, and we are currently discussing potential links with others.

Business Studies students are also eligible to apply for a place on the University of Edinburgh and Business Studies International Exchange Programmes.

This enables students to spend their third year at a university in Australia, Canada, China, Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore or the USA. Further exchange programmes are under development.

The MA in International Business and an MA in International Business with a Language involves students studying abroad in their third year.
