Winners were announced at the Study UK Alumni Award ceremony in Cairo on Thursday 1 February 2024.
This is a fantastic achievement and a true testament to Ahmed’s success to date.
Currently Innovation Programme Manager at Arab African International Bank, Ahmed has a decade of entrepreneurial and corporate experience. By merging entrepreneurship and tech with finance, he is revolutionising banking solutions through open innovation models, touching thousands of lives.
In a congratulations video, Dean, Professor Wendy Loretto, said:
‘Congratulations Ahmed, your win is incredibly richly deserved. As a graduate of our MSc in Entrepreneurship and Innovation, we know that you took full advantage of your experience of studying with us, both in the classroom and beyond.

The University of Edinburgh also had a second winner in Egypt, namely Medicine/Biomedical Sciences MSc graduate Mohamed Elsonbaty who won the Social Action Award.
