We are really delighted to announce that Amani Ahmed has recently been appointed as a member of the Young Academy of Scotland (YAS), part of the Royal Society of Edinburgh (RSE).
Royal Society of Edinburgh (c. Enric)

This is a wonderful achievement for Amani, who is a PhD student with us here at the Business School. Upon being appointed to the YAS, Amani said: ‘Being selected for the Young Academy of Scotland is both an honour and an opportunity to build connections, engage with the Scottish community and to contribute through my intellectual and professional experiences. As a Palestinian academic who has experienced displacement, this membership represents a new beacon of hope, a chance to rebuild, belong and continue contributing to the wider global academic community. I look forward to learning from the academy’s diverse membership, developing meaningful collaborations and brining my experiences in global engagement, entrepreneurship and AI to initiatives that connect Scotland to the world.’
