The University of Edinburgh, home to students from across the world, provides numerous scholarships. As a proud holder of one of the scholarships offered by the University, I hope to introduce, as well as familiarise offer-holders and prospective students, to them.
Scholarships at the Business School
To begin with, the Business School offers programme specific scholarships as well as school level scholarships to candidates with strong qualifications.
The School offers numerous partial scholarships and one full scholarship to the postgraduate students starting in September 2024. The scholarships offered include:
- EU Regional Scholarship programme
- Latin American Scholarship programme
- Home Fee Scholarship for those students with home tuition fee status
- Dean’s Excellence Scholarship programme - eligible across all nationalities
- Sustainability and Social Impact Scholarships
- Positive Action for LGBT+ MSc Scholarship
- Business School Access Scholarship covering the entire tuition fees for a UK national domiciled in the UK
- The GREAT Scholarship in partnership with the British Council and the GREAT Britain Campaign for those offer holders with Turkish and Vietnamese nationality.
The amount offered in the partial scholarships varies between £5,000 and £10,000.
Some scholarships such as the Dean’s Excellence Scholarship or the Home Fee Scholarship programme may have multiple holders whereas the Business School Access Scholarship is offered to only one student.
All of the details regarding the scholarships can be found under each MSc programme on this website. There you can find details including deadlines, value and eligibility criteria for each of them.
It should also be noted that some scholarships are called for in multiple rounds. Before one can apply for any form of funding, they must have first applied for a place at the Business School and secured an offer. Once an offer of admission has been secured, they can apply for scholarships.
Other Scholarships
In addition to the scholarships offered by the Business School, there are other numerous scholarships all of which can be found in detail under the “Scholarship Search” webpage of the University.
It is also to be noted that there are Alumni scholarships for any returning student pursuing a masters after completing their undergraduate degree at the University of Edinburgh.
