For me personally the Dublin Student Trek has been a good way to stay connected to the Business School.
Although I had an excellent understanding of marketing and how the businesses operate cross-functionally, I was keen to expand my horizons and get a deeper understanding of other functions so that I could progress to general management.
It is gratifying to share my experience of the Business School with prospective students and to encourage them to go and study in Edinburgh.
I enjoyed hosting the Dublin Trek students at the Dock...it was a great learning experience for us all.
The Business School has excellent capabilities for transitioning students out of the university into their careers.
It has been exciting to watch the Business School grow, move home, and adapt to the changing demands of both students and employers alike.
Running a business is not easy, there is a lot more stress than when you are an employee, and having this great support network has been huge.

I was delighted to organise [the] visit for the students as I felt I was completing the cycle.
The multi-cultural class also gave a balanced perspective and set us up for the globalised business environment.
I am looking forward to working with the Business School to help promote them across the country.
It pushed me outside my comfort zone and encouraged me to independently navigate my personal and professional development.
