Types of project
An issue with which the client charity would like some assistance such as internal people issues, organisational efficiencies, stakeholder liaison and funding opportunities. The key is to ensure that the scope is focused so that students can concentrate on the specific issue. Examples include:
- Researching and recommending solutions to an internal resource issue identified by the charity
- Conducting a stakeholder analysis for the charity identifying:
- which current stakeholders are most strategic and should be the focus of key attention
- which current stakeholders are taking time/resource but are not strategic
- new stakeholder opportunities
- Creating new product/service offering to make the charity more financially sustainable and, concurrently, expand its reach
- Increasing core funding (B2B/public bodies) by researching new, optimum opportunities
- Increasing funding (B2C) by researching innovative ways to generate new income
