Hosted by the Business School, this event is open to all UEBS alumni as well as alumni from the wider University of Edinburgh alumni network in the New York area.

Thursday 11 June 2020

During the academic year 2019/20, we celebrate 100 years of teaching business and we're pleased to be creating a number of special events that give you a chance to connect with alumni from the Business School.

Our founders didn’t sit around waiting for things to happen and were keen to write the future: in 1919 they raised substantial funds to start a business and accounting degree in the city. We’re celebrating how we continue to write the future, and invite you to share your stories with fellow alumni.

Hosted by the Business School, this networking drinks reception and panel discussion is open to all UEBS alumni as well as alumni from the wider University of Edinburgh alumni network.

The talks will focus on professional development and career progression and will feature University of Edinburgh alumni working in New York. This will be a fully interactive session which will hopefully spark an energetic exchange of views, ideas and experiences.

The event forms a key part of a business trek to New York of our MSc in Finance students. During the week, our student group will be visiting a number of organisations to hear more about what it takes to work in a major financial hub.

You will have the opportunity to meet and share stories with some of our current students and representatives from UEBS including Director of the MSc in Finance, Dr Ben Sila; North America Regional Director, Scott McQuarrie and Alumni Relations Manager, Andrew Bell.

Drinks and snacks will be provided throughout the evening. The event is free to attend but registration is required as space is limited, to give us an indication of numbers. If you would like to bring a guest, please register their attendance too.
