Overview
16:00 – 16:45: Brief Executive MBA overview (Business School Boardroom – 4th Floor, 29 Buccleuch Place)
16:45 – 17:00: Walk over to Bayes Centre from the Business School
17:00 – 19:30: AI Event (Bayes Centre – 47 Potterrow)
Followed by networking session with drinks and light snacks.
This exciting AI discussion is broken into two parts. For those of you who can get away for 16:00, please meet us at the Business School for a brief presentation about our part-time Executive MBA programme.
This will be followed at 17:00 by our AI for Future Leaders presentation, which asks how leaders can stay up to date on data and AI, a field so fast-paced that what you learn today could be outdated tomorrow. Run by the Business School in collaboration with the Bayes Centre, the University of Edinburgh's Innovation Hub for Data Science and Artificial Intelligence, this event will be led by Executive MBA alumni and current Director of Research at the Bayes Centre, Professor Filippo Menolascina.
We’ll bring together expertise from practitioners from industry working on AI and data in corporate, SME and start-up settings, as well as academics from interdisciplinary fields. We’ll be discussing a variety of topics including:
- Practical implications brought about by advances in data-driven technologies such as generative AI
- Ethical considerations around data
- How companies deal with digital transformation
Attendance
This event will also be attended by Executive MBA and MBA alumni and current students, a perfect opportunity to network and ask about the student experience.
For those of you who can make the 16:00 information session, our MBA Relationship Manager, Copil Yanez, will be on hand to discuss our Part-Time Executive MBA programme and answer any of your questions about applying. He will then walk you over to the Bayes Centre for the AI discussion.
If you can only attend the AI talk, please come directly to the Bayes Centre (47 Potterrow)) at 17:00 where Copil will be on hand to answer any of your questions during the networking session after the event, or to arrange a one-to-one consult to discuss how the Executive MBA might help with your future career goals.
We hope you can join us for this in-person event. Seats for the AI for Future Leaders event will be limited, so please sign up now.
More information
You can also sign up for Executive MBA Information Webinars scheduled for June, July, and August, which we will share registration details for in the coming weeks.
Any questions, please contact Copil directly at copil.yanez@ed.ac.uk. We hope to see you soon!
