Following the success of our first 'In Discussion' Session with Alan Jope, we're pleased to confirm we will now host a full series of these events from August 2020 to July 2021.

Kavi Thakrar, Co-founder of Dishoom, will join us to talk about his journey to date, challenges that were overcome during the launch and expansion of Dishoom, and how the organisation is approaching a return to operating under ever-changing Covid-19 restrictions.

Throughout the session we will answer questions submitted from attendees in the chat box. You will also have the chance to submit questions in advance of the event during your registration.

About the Speaker

The founders of Dishoom have built a cult following for their Persian-style Irani cafes serving Indian food. Shamil, formerly a strategy consultant at Bain & Co, joined forces with his cousin Kavi to open their first restaurant in Covent Garden nine years ago.

The pair, who are both scions of the Tilda rice family, now have five sites in London, one in Edinburgh, and one in Manchester.
