Overview

Following the success of our first 'In Discussion' Session with Alan Jope, we're pleased to confirm we will now host a full series of these events from August 2020 to July 2021.

Sandy Begbie CBE recently joined Scottish Financial Enterprise (SFE) as Chief Executive Officer. SFE is the representative body for Scotland's financial services industry.

First Minister Nicola Sturgeon recently confirmed Sandy will lead plans to develop a jobs guarantee for young Scots. Sandy led the Developing the Young Workforce Group that played a pivotal role in the delivery of the Edinburgh Guarantee to young people.

His appointment came after the Scottish Government released an action plan on how to limit unemployment caused by the impact of coronavirus. Among other measures, the report suggested company bosses should receive a cash incentive to recruit long-term unemployed young people for work experience.

Throughout the session we will answer questions submitted from attendees in the chat box. You will also have the chance to submit questions in advance of the event during your registration.
