The John Smith Trust exists to see leaders with passion and purpose from CIS states in Eastern Europe, the Caucasus and Central Asia achieving their vision for fairer, more sustainable and inclusive societies.
The current geopolitical situation across the CIS region has highlighted the critical role that women play in holding societies together. In response, the University of Edinburgh Business School has joined forces with the John Smith Trust to develop a programme specifically for women who lead change and are passionate about working together to make a real difference in their countries and communities. The programme's focus is on empowering women leaders.
Programme overview
The John Smith Trust Leadership Programme will draw together women leaders from alumna of the John Smith Trust fellowship in the CIS region and from women leaders based in Scotland. The primarily online programme will culminate in an intensive leadership accelerator in Edinburgh. We draw on pioneering research, high-level executive experience and practical tools to help develop participants' ability as effective leaders.
The programme is focused on increasing confidence, strategic thinking and empowering women to effect positive change.
