Executive MBA

Career Summary

With over 25 years in Hospitality Management my strategy is always not just focused on profitability, but to change the way teams think about themselves as a business, partner and employer. Throughout, the focus is on quality, service and standards and through reforming the business from the inside out. I work to bring transformation and turn a business focused on supporting day-to-day needs, into a profitable and aspirational one. With specific skills in operations management, sales, negotiation, team working and finance, I bring a raft of experience to the business, driving and delivering the need for change.

Key Skills

Project planning and development; experience of both venue management and external contractors; constant review of business performance in line with budgetary controls; compliance expertise – HACCP, Food Safety Legislation, Health & Safety, Liquor Licensing, Hospitality Assured; experience at Board level

Future Objectives

Currently studying on the Executive MBA Programme and not actively job seeking. Post Brexit and the Covid pandemic I see the Executive MBA as the ideal tool to assist with change management. There will be even more focus on delivering value to all stakeholders and how that performance is measured. Financing will be ever more important in the volatile economic environment we are currently in. We will have to think beyond our disciplinary silos to ensure strategic and entrepreneurial thinking and it is this that will be required in the future to lead the industry back to health.
