Laura Fey is a doctoral researcher in the Strategy Group. She is fully funded by the University of Edinburgh Business Scholarship and the ESRC Scholarship. She is driven to study institutional change on the example of the use and debate of public space. Laura aims to enable a discussion about how we decide and plan the usage of space including social actors from various backgrounds.

Narratives of individuals and the meaning of public space are being discussed and provide an opportunity to think about how we want to design space in our future. In addition to her research, Laura is the convenor of the Doctoral Society of the Business School and organises events and activities for students. Laura has reviewed papers for the Academy of Management (AOM) and the European Group for Organisational Studies (EGOS).

She attended EGOS 2020 with her paper about "The Role of Boundary Work in the Reinforcement of Systems of Exclusion within Organizations: The Case of the Volkswagen Emissions Scandal". She currently teaches undergraduate-level courses within the field of Strategic Management.
