An MBA is usually undertaken as a means to progress your career. For some, the objective is to prepare for a step-change into a more senior leadership role. For others, the motivation is to switch sectors or to prepare for establishing their own business. We will work closely with you to understand your career objectives and to help facilitate your next move.
We have an excellent track record in supporting our students to progress in their business career in a wide range of organisations, from start-up ventures to multi-national corporations. Our MBAs have progressed to senior positions in finance, banking, insurance, consultancy, IT / telecommunications, government / public sector, professional services, retailing, construction, energy / utilities, education, food / drink, healthcare, leisure, manufacturing, marketing, media / arts, pharmaceuticals, property management and logistics. Around 10% of MBA graduates set up their own businesses.
The success of our MBA programme is reflected in the career destinations of our graduates.

We recognise the scale of the investment you are making in your MBA and we will work closely with you to help facilitate your next career move. We provide a range of services to support you.
Dedicated MBA careers advisors
We recently expanded our support team to include an MBA Executive Development Manager and an MBA Employer Relations Manager who manage skills and career development services, provide tailored advice and enlist the support of outside specialists.
Skills and career sessions
We administer leading-edge psychometric diagnostic tests (e.g. Belbin, OPQ) to help understand your strengths and areas needing improvement. We provide workshops on CV-writing, assessment centres, competency-based interviews and Linked-in Profiling. We also arrange for specialist advisors to present sector-specific career talks (e.g. on finance and consultancy) and we annually host Victor Loewenstein (former head hunter with Egon Zehnder) to explain how the executive search sector can work for your benefit.
In addition to a weekly newsletter announcing key events, we provide a substantial range of online resources, including an MBA-specific job register, employer database and materials to help prepare for your job search and interviews.
In addition to our annual MBA Careers Fair, we organise a series of visits to specific locations to help connect you to key organisations. We recently organised a trek to Aberdeen to meet companies involved in the oil and gas sector and to London to meet consultancy companies and financial service recruiters. We also arrange regular visits funded by Santander, and this year we are taking our MBAs to Spain and to Iceland to meet key organisations involved in energy and banking.
We have access to a powerful and warm network of over 3,600 MBA alumni who can be invaluable when building connections to new companies or in new countries.
