OR Society Scholarships (UK)

The OR Society offers two master's degree scholarships up to £10,000 toward tuition fees to support students who wish to continue their studies in the area of Operational Research (OR). To be eligible applicants need to be UK nationals applying for a master's degree where at least 40% of the courses relate to OR methods. All UK nationals applying for our MSc in Business Analytics are eligible to apply for these scholarships.

The Chevening Scholarship Scheme, funded by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO), targets the future generation of leaders, decision-makers and opinion-formers early in their careers.

Commonwealth Scholarships are available for students from developing Commonwealth countries. These scholarships are funded by the UK Department for International Development (DFID). Interested students must apply to the nominating agency in their Commonwealth country of residence.

Postgraduate Tuition Fee Loans (PTFL)

Eligible (Scottish domiciled and EU) applicants who have accepted a postgraduate place on this programme can apply directly to the Student Awards Agency for Scotland (SAAS) for a loan to cover up to £5,500 towards their tuition fees. Prospective students are advised to monitor the SAAS website for further information.

The University of Edinburgh offers two tuition fee scholarship schemes for alumni of the University.

Graduate Scholarship Scheme

The University is currently offering a 10% scholarship in postgraduate degree tuition fees for all alumni who have graduated with an undergraduate degree from the University of Edinburgh.

Alumni (Visiting Undergraduate) Scholarship Scheme

The University of Edinburgh offers a 10% scholarship in postgraduate degree tuition fees for all students who have previously matriculated on a "Visiting Programme" as an undergraduate student and completed a minimum of one semester of study at the University of Edinburgh.
