Background

Alistair teaches Financial Markets at the Business School (MSc Finance and Investment). In addition he is a personal tutor, finance tutor and co-ordinates undergraduate employability and innovative learning initiatives. He is an active member of CFAUK and provides executive education on finance and investment topics.

His previous experience includes 15 years in buy-side and sell-side quantitative research, investment analysis and investment risk for Kames Capital, UBS and Baillie Gifford. He has presented at investment conferences in the UK, Australia and Asia. Alistair is a CFA Charter holder and studied economics at Strathclyde University (BA) and economics and finance at Warwick Business School (MSc).
