This research aims to explore the reasons why male cancer patients participate in services provided by non-clinical cancer charities in the UK and examine the impact of these services on their well-being.

Background

Qian is a PhD researcher in the Marketing Group, funded by the China Scholarship Council and the University of Edinburgh joint Scholarship. She enrolled in the programme in September 2015. 

Her research interests include value co-creation, consumer well-being, healthcare research, non-profit marketing, cross-cultural research, customer relationship management, service marketing and transformative service research.    

Prior to starting her doctoral work, Qian completed a taught masters degree in 2014 at the University of Liverpool, graduating with distinction on her dissertation.
