Our research uncovered an evaluation hurdle that plays a major—but unacknowledged—role in the growth and scaling of new digital ventures. Much has been written about the first equity pitch. For nascent digital entreprise however, we identified a vital second pitch they must make to industry analysts. Industry analysis wield influence over tech adopters and investors. In fiercely competitive technology markets, they funnel attention to some vendors and away from others, which makes getting onto their radar extremely important.
