Background
Angelica Gonzalez is a Professor in Finance at The University of Edinburgh. Angelica holds a PhD in Economics from The University of York. She previously worked as an advisor to the Mexican Budget Commission (Chamber of Deputies).
Angelica teaches Statistics and Econometrics on a range of postgraduate programmes at the Business School.
Research Interests
Angelica specialises in corporate governance, with a particular focus on the impact of gender and ethnic diversity within corporate boards. She also actively engages in the investment industry, lending her expertise to foster greater diversity within the sector. Additionally, she maintains a keen interest in corporate social responsibility. Her research has been published in prestigious international, peer reviewed journals. Angelica is also a frequent presenter at international conferences. Her work on CEO risk-taking incentives was recognised with the Best Paper Award at the 2019 FMA Conference in Jerusalem, Israel.
