Background

Corentin Curchod joined the University of Edinburgh Business School in July 2019. Corentin earned his PhD from the École Polytechnique in France. Before joining the University of Edinburgh, he was in the department of Strategy and International Business at the University of Nottingham, and in the strategy division at Audencia Nantes School of Management, France. Corentin received twice the Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Education and Student Experience's commend for Excellent Teaching at the University of Nottingham (2017 and 2019). In 2021, he was the University of Edinburgh's runner-up for the Outstanding Innovation in Digital Teaching Award.

Research Interests

Corentin's research interests focus on identity work, power and governance in relation to market relationships and technological change. His work has combined sociological and strategy theories to understand the tensions between work practices and market governance in highly competitive environments, such as online platforms or physical marketplaces, and how actors cope with these tensions.
