Roles and Responsibilities

Professor David Cooper joined the Business School as Chair in Accounting in October 2017 and will be working on a part-time basis.

Research Interests

His research is primarily in:

  • Critical and interdisciplinary accounting.
  • Accounting regulation.
  • Management control systems.
  • Performance management systems.
  • Accountability, disclosure and transparency.

It is interdisciplinary, critically orientated, and problem-centred, drawing on sociology, political science and social theory to understand regulation, organisational and managerial rationality, and performance measurement and management.
