Roles and Responsibilities
Mengfei is responsible for research and project management on the BHP CCS in Iron and Steel Sector in China Project.
Mengfei is a Research Fellow in the Centre of Business and Climate Change, University of Edinburgh Business School. Her research focuses on managing incentives for carbon emission reduction and financing low-carbon technology.
Mengfei holds a BSc in Management Information System and an MSc in Finance and Investment Management. During her PhD studies she was working as a Research Assistant in several projects, including low-carbon building sponsored by Scottish Funding Council and Research Grants Council of Hong Kong, carbon market linkage sponsored by the World Bank Group and legal and regulatory framework for CCUS sponsored by SPF and Guangdong NDRC. Mengfei also worked as a Teaching Assistant for undergraduate courses including Accountancy and Advanced Financial Accounting. Her research interests lie in the fields of energy and low-carbon policies including carbon pricing, emission trading schemes, carbon market linkage and low-carbon technology financing etc.
