Programme Director MSc Finance
Pia joined the University of Edinburgh Business School as a Lecturer in Finance in May 2021. Prior to joining the faculty at Edinburgh, she was a Lecturer at the University of Leeds. She holds a PhD in Finance from Trinity College Dublin.
Pia's research interest is in the area of corporate finance. In her research, she examines phenomenon surrounding initial public offerings (IPOs). In this context, she also investigates the role of primary and secondary equity markets for energy transition. Private equity and venture capital are of special interest in her research.
Pia presents her work regularly at major national and international conferences. She is an Associate Editor for Finance Research Letters (FRL) and Research in International Business and Finance (RIBAF).
