Background

Yue (Lucy) holds a PhD in finance from the University of Edinburgh, an MBA, an MSc in fiance, and a BA in engineering. She also had several years of work experience in investment banking.

She has been involved in organising and teaching the following courses:

  • Principles of Finance (Undergraduate Course)
  • Behavioural Finance (Postgraduate Course)
  • Corporate Finance (Undergraduate Course)

Research Interests

Yue (Lucy)'s primary research areas are empirical corporate finance and financial development. She is particularly interested in:

  • mergers and acquisitions
  • historical and cultural influence on financial development
  • behavioural finance
  • ESG and green finance

Yue (Lucy) sits on the Editorial Board of The British Accounting Review, Humanities and Social Sciences Communications, and Journal of Chinese Economic and Business Studies. She has also served as an ad-hoc reviewer for some AJG-rated journals.
