The Startup Festival offers inspiration, networking, knowledge, skills and pitching competitions to entrepreneurs and students who are curious about their potential.

Through storytelling, films, workshops, tours and debates we are showcasing entrepreneurial DNA across all walks of life, from corporate to community-building projects, including tech, retail, food & drink, finance, creative industries, energy and more sectors.

Screening: Tomorrow

This globetrotting documentary features ordinary citizens and activists working together to devise new, sustainable ways of approaching food production, energy, education and the economy. From urban gardening in Detroit to renewable energy sources in Copenhagen, via a remarkable direct democracy initiative in the Indian village of Kuttambakkan, Tomorrow offers other futures to envision – and invites us to roll up our sleeves and get started today.

Mel Young, Homeless World Cup in conversation, with Alice Thompson, Social Bite

Interested in football, global change and scaling-up? Then this one’s for you. In 2003 Mel Young Young turned the beautiful game into a force for good by founding the Homeless World Cup, which has now grown to 74 countries. Mel will be in conversation with Alice Thompson, Social Bite‘s Co-Founder. Hear from these two leaders who have imagined news ways of transforming homelessness.
