Ben is the Director of Postgraduate Taught Programmes.

Background

Ben is a Professor of Finance. He joined the School in 2015 after completing his PhD in Finance from the University of Edinburgh. He holds an MSc in Finance and Investment (Distinction) from the University of Edinburgh and a Bachelor of Engineering (Computer Engineering) from Chulalongkorn University.

Research Interests

Ben's research interests include corporate finance, corporate governance, law and finance, and financial intermediation. His research has been published in leading finance and management journals, including the Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis and the Review of Finance, and has been presented at major international conferences, including the EUROFIDAI Paris Finance Conference, the Financial Management Association (FMA) Annual Meeting, and the European Financial Management Association (EFMA) Annual Meeting.

Ben has also served as an ad-hoc reviewer for several ABS-rated journals, including Management Science, the Journal of Corporate Finance, the Journal of Banking and Finance, the Journal of Business Finance & Accounting, and the Journal of Accounting and Public Policy.

Ben is an Associate Editor of the British Accounting Review and sits on the Editorial Board of Corporate Governance: An International Review. His research has won funding from the British Academy, the Leverhulme Trust, and the Carnegie Trust.
