So I relocated to Edinburgh from Houston, Texas, with my current company. So still working full-time. The option to have an online programme at the University of Edinburgh seemed really appealing. I really enjoy the opportunity to work with the same people because they're able to bring in their perspectives, bring in their experience, their industry knowledge, and it also makes you feel a little less alone as you go through it.

We offer a lot of opportunities for students to build their network on the programme. First of all, there's the live online tutorials. There's the discussion forums. We have an opportunity for students to come to Edinburgh once a year. We also have town hall meetings where we get together on an informal basis and have a catch up about what's happening on the programme. But also really importantly, we have a social component to that. So we've had lots of different kinds of opportunities for students to get to know each other, to talk together in breakout rooms and really build those networks on a different social level.

The live tutorials are a really important part of our online MBA, they allow the students to not only meet with other students on the programme, meet with the faculty, but also really apply the theory that they're learning in a practical way.

The online opportunity actually allowed me to be exposed more to the global network that the University of Edinburgh provide. With the options for the case studies being in real world concepts, I am able to not only pull things that I am interested in, but things that can actually benefit me in my current job. I think the programme has found a really great way to strike that balance between the academic side, with the industry experience that the faculty brings.

Studying your MBA online
In the Edinburgh online MBA programme you will benefit from exceptional teaching delivered entirely online. You will join a supportive, global cohort and study alongside them throughout the programme.
Most of the content is available to access in your own time, allowing you to learn at your own pace. In addition, we know our students value the experience and diverse, global perspectives their MBA class bring to their learning so you’ll also have some live online tutorials where you can interact with your class.
This part-time online MBA programme can be completed in as little as 24 months, with a 30-month option also available. You will study two modules at a time, requiring a commitment of 5-9 hours per week per module. This structure enables you to confidently balance other commitments while learning in a supported way.
