Elspeth Wray Headshot

Climate and Sustainability Portfolio Manager

Roles and Responsibilities

I am responsible for developing corporate education partnerships and managing the Centre for Business, Climate Change and Sustainability here at the Business School.

I help businesses, government and NGOs to connect with academic expertise in climate and sustainability, primarily by developing executive education programmes for professional learners. I work closely with industry partners to create customised training programmes on topics including clean tech, climate finance, nature finance, and sustainability leadership, for everyone from senior leadership teams or boards right through to all-staff skills programmes reaching 1000s of people.

I lead industry engagement to develop partnerships for joint research, consultancy and student projects, and activities such as events and thought leadership to share our research and thinking with the widest possible audience. I help organisations to work with the University to strengthen decision-making and build capacity in areas including carbon accounting, climate risk, corporate responsibility, climate finance and natural capital, helping translate emerging technologies and research into credible business opportunities and better policy and regulation.
