Background

Emily is a lawyer in Ashurst's Digital Economy practice, where she advises clients on IT, data protection, and telecommunications laws. She has also completed a secondment at Goldman Sachs.

Emily graduated from the University of Edinburgh with a first class MA (Hons) in International Business with Chinese. While studying at the University of Edinburgh she completed exchanges at Peking University, Chulalongkorn University and National Taiwan University and held the role of Undergraduate Vice-Convenor for the Business School.

She also co-founded Edinburgh University Women in Business to encourage students to discover and aspire to the career of their dreams. She was also a volunteer for She Loves Tech, the largest global female tech startup competition.

Emily holds distinctions in the GDL and LPC from the University of Law. In her spare time Emily enjoys travelling, pilates, spending time in nature and creating new-plant based recipes for her blog.
