Chair of the International Advisory Board
Background
John is a founder member of the International Advisory Board and has been its chair since 2007.
He is an experienced C-suite business and thought leader in both international financial services and the third sector. His main focus is on helping organisations to simplify and streamline their complex client and stakeholder relationships, identifying and removing blockages, hence developing stronger global collaboration to the benefit of all parties.
He is Chair of the Advisory Board, Carnegie Fund Services S.A. Geneva and Principal of Currburn Advisory. He is also on the Board of Governors at Sedbergh School where he also chairs the Investment Committee.
Earlier roles include Global Head of Strategic Clients at Aberdeen Standard Investments (2017-19) and Senior Managing Director at State Street (2000-16). John has also been Chairman of Scottish Financial Enterprise (2004-09).
