Background

Ritesh began an eight-year career in policing, working with two police agencies in Canada and working on several international assignments. Ritesh then transitioned to the Private sector where he worked in Big Tech before being called to the Bar in 2023. With a career spanning public safety, digital transformation, and regulatory strategy, Ritesh is known for making complex issues accessible, engaging, and actionable. His commentary appears across major media outlets, and he regularly speaks on the societal impacts of AI, cyber risk, and technology-driven change.

In 2017, he completed an MBA from the University of Edinburgh with an exchange at Peking University in Beijing. He also holds a BBA from the University of Toronto and has completed his J.D (law degree) with an option in Technology Law from the University of Ottawa. Ritesh was also selected for the Emerging Leaders Program at Harvard University.

Ritesh has had the privilege of working and presenting around the world including the World Internet Conference in China, the training academy for the Jamaican Constabulary Force, Intersec in Dubai, the Major City Chiefs/FBI National Executive Institute Conference, NATO-sponsored Cyber-Security Conference in North Macedonia and several other events in the Middle East, North America and Europe. Ritesh has appeared multiple times as a witness in the House of Commons, addressing competitiveness and digital technology in Canada.
