Background
Shuo joined the University of Edinburgh Business School as a Lecturer (Assistant Professor) in Financial Accounting in February 2022. Before joining Edinburgh's faculty, he was an assistant professor at the University of Groningen in the Netherlands. He holds a master's degree in Finance and Investment and a PhD in Accounting and Finance from the University of Bristol.
Shuo's research interest mainly focuses on how the quality and quantity of corporate disclosure influence the capital market. Recently, Shuo has extended his research areas to interdisciplinary studies, such as accounting and society, supply chain management, and corporate greenwashing. Shuo has published his work in Accounting and Business Research and European Accounting Review. He also presents his work regularly at major national and international conferences, such as European Accounting Association Annual Congress and BAFA Annual Conference.
Shuo welcomes PhD applications specializing in market-based accounting research, corporate finance, and corporate governance.
