HES are the lead body for Scotland’s historic environment and are at the forefront of researching and understanding the historic environment and addressing the impacts of climate change on its future, investigating and recording architectural and archaeological sites and landscapes across Scotland. HES care for more than 300 properties of national importance, including Edinburgh Castle, Skara Brae, and Fort George.
Upon being appointed to the Board, Nkosana (Lecturer in Strategy) said: ‘It’s an honour and a privilege to join the board of Historic Environment Scotland. Scotland’s heritage strengthens communities, drives economic growth, and highlights the enduring traditions that define the nation. I’m excited about working with fellow Board members to protect and preserve the historic environment for generations to come.’
