Background

Ioannis is an Assistant Professor (Lecturer) of Finance at the University of Edinburgh Business School. He joined the University of Edinburgh as an Assistant Professor of Finance in August 2024 from the University of St Andrews Business School, University of St Andrews, where he was also an Assistant Professor of Finance. Ioannis has been a visiting scholar at the Olin Business School of Washington University in St Louis. He conducts research in Empirical Asset Pricing, Hedge/Mutual Funds Performance, Financial Economics and Machine Learning applications in Finance. He has published his research in numerous journals of world-leading and international excellence, such as the European Journal of Operational Research, the International Journal of Forecasting, the Journal of International Financial Markets, Institutions and Money, Quantitative Finance, and the European Journal of Finance.
