Business Engagement Manager
Roles and Responsibilities
Based in the Student Development Team, I build strong links with businesses, organisations and professional networks to provide students with experience of, and insights into, real-world practice. I work closely with colleagues and external partners on a range of student engagement opportunities activities including in curriculum guest speakers, industry based student consultancy projects, company visits and client sourced dissertation projects. I lead on the Student Development Team's Career and Employability Treks and co-lead on the School's 'Business Series' programme of public events.
Through this suite of external engagement we aim to enhance the teaching and learning experience, support student employability and in turn share fresh ideas and perspectives with the business community.
Complementing my business engagement work I coach on the School's Edinburgh Award in Global Employability providing 1-2-1 coaching as part of students' personal and professional development journey.
