The Speaker of The House of Commons, Rt. Hon. John Bercow MP joins Professor Chris Carter in conversation, at The Media Series at The Fringe.

Appearing at the Business School’s first Media Series at The Fringe event last week, Speaker of the House of Commons, Rt. Hon. John Bercow said UK parliamentarians faced significant challenges in regaining public trust.

But he argued MPs could restore people's faith in parliament by becoming less tribal, and highlighting more cross party agreement.

In front of a full house, Bercow shared his thoughts on his political life to date, and provided insights on the role of Westminster’s presiding officer in 2015.
