The course retains the online Emotional Intelligence (EQ) assessment and one-to-one debrief session with a trained coach, providing valuable self-reflection and contextualised learning.
Who is the course for?
This credit-bearing course is designed for current or aspiring leaders in technology-driven sectors, or those managing technological change in any industry. We welcome applicants from diverse backgrounds who seek to lead effectively in increasingly technology-dependent organisations.
This is an introductory/intermediate Masters course (SCQF Level 11). Some foundational knowledge or experience is required. As a Masters-level programme, the course emphasizes critical thinking, analysis, and reflection on real-world technological challenges.

Learning on topics of communication, change management and relationships are a core dimension of this course and it includes personalised learning support and mentoring. Learning is contextualised through business experience and ideas in your own organisation as well as listening to and reflecting on those of your class peers.
The course combines case study discussions, personal reflections, and peer-to-peer learning, with a strong emphasis on applying concepts to real-world technological challenges. You will engage in online discussions and collaborative learning activities focused on technological change management.
Time commitment
This course comprises a total of 100 hours of study.
Live session dates
There will be weekly online live sessions on Zoom, including lectures and tutorials. Students will join their assigned group for sessions on Tuesdays 16.30-18.00 or Wednesdays 9.30-11.00 (GMT).

Certification
You will receive a certificate from the University of Edinburgh on completion of this course and acquire 10 credits (CSQF system) or 5 credits (ECTS system).
