During Victor's student years he was involved with AIESEC and shortly after graduation was elected Secretary General of AIESEC International, in Geneva. He is now retired after close to a 40-year career in Management Consulting.

How does it feel to be selected for the Alumni 100 list?

"Extremely proud and privileged to be an alum of the University of Edinburgh."

What made you choose to study at the University of Edinburgh Business School?

"Having graduated in 1960 there were few UK universities giving an Applied Economics (Business) degree. I am delighted to have chosen the BEST!"

What are your memories of studying at the Business School?

"The whole Commerce Department (as it was then called) was housed in one of George Square's Victorian houses which still stands! We were no more than 20 students per year, and the cohort was made up of British and Commonwealth students. Today the entire world is represented at the Business School!"

What's the one thing you think current students need to develop or learn before entering the modern workplace?

"Students need to develop social skills in addition to professional competencies to succeed in their careers."

What key thing that you learnt at the Business School do you still rely on today?

"To work in a team environment, to listen to different views before deciding, to respect the opinions of others."

Proudest work-related achievement to date?

"To have participated directly in the successful geographical extension of Egon Zehnder in Europe as well as North and South America."
