Since his graduation in 1990, Stephen has gone on to a variety of roles including with the BBC and Thomson Reuters, and is proud to have supported the formation of Diageo in 1997.

"I was living in Edinburgh at the time and felt fortunate to have a great business school on my doorstep!"

"I enjoyed the richness of shared experience within the group covering different nationalities, sectors, and professional backgrounds."

What key thing that you learnt at the Business School do you still rely on today?

"You need to integrate multiple perspectives to find the best answers to complex problems."

"Supporting the formation of Diageo in 1997 and Thomson Reuters in 2008."

What's the one thing you think current students need to develop or learn before entering the modern workplace?

"The ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and people with different backgrounds, outlooks, and ways of thinking and working."
