I'm Beckie Lee, a Master's in Marketing student at the University of Edinburgh. Besides that, I'm also a photography enthusiast. So, during Welcome Week, I joined the Photo Society at the University and became a tour organiser, organising tours to picturesque places near Edinburgh twice a month.
Since I've come here, I've been to places like North Berwick, the Pentlands, Arthur's Seat, and South Queensferry.
It was a sunny day when we went to the seaside town of North Berwick, which is half an hour away by train from Edinburgh. I enjoyed seeing people walking their dogs as I walked along the streets—I mean why wouldn't you get a dog when you live next to such a nice beach.
We then went to Tantallon Castle, where I saw a real medieval castle for the first time. It was well-preserved, and it felt peaceful just standing at the top of the castle and experiencing the wind that blew by my ears.
After my day out here, I would say North Berwick is definitely a good choice if you are thinking about having a relaxing time with your family and friends.
Beckie is a student on the MSc in Marketing at the University of Edinburgh Business School.
