The intention of this programme is to support women on the cusp of senior leadership roles within the public, private, arts and voluntary sectors.

Rationale

The rationale for the programme is to help participants become more effective leaders. We believe that building a connection between women on the leadership track in the UK with women from the wider Europe and near Asia region will provide lasting value in the experiences they share during the programme. It is evident that the region will play a critical role in geo-politics for some time. By securing a greater understanding between it and the UK, this programme provides an opportunity for partnership and mutual support.

The programme will appeal to women interested in:

  • Learning more about the theory and practice of leadership in order to become a more effective leader.
  • Building cross-cultural networks and understanding between the UK and the wider Europe and near Asia region.
  • Gaining practical tools and techniques in leading innovation.
  • Learning how to create and lead effective teams.
  • Developing a collaborative network of senior JST Fellows and UK-based leaders.
  • Enhancing understanding of cultural norms, similarities and differences.
  • Applying learning to build the resilience of civic institutions.
  • Defining frameworks for the role of the private sector or strengthening the rule of law.
