Building on almost 40 years’ experience working with engineers, ESBF launched this exciting scholarship specifically for scientists in 2024. It aims to help translate the UK’s world-class scientific research into real economic impact, equipping scientists with the commercial insight and leadership skills needed to turn breakthrough ideas into businesses, innovation and growth.
The scholarships are delivered in partnership with the National Physical Laboratory.
Eligibility
Candidates must:
- Have a degree in a science or allied technology discipline - preferably a first or upper second class.
- Demonstrate strong business leadership qualities and show a strong commitment to the economic development of the UK.
- Be a UK citizen, living in the UK, and able to demonstrate a clear intention to reside in the UK following completion of the MBA.
- Have between four to ten years professional experience post-first degree.
You do not need to have secured a place at business school before applying for this scholarship. If your application is successful but you have not yet been accepted by an approved business school, you will receive a scholarship offer in principle. This can be activated once you secure a place, provided it is taken up within 12 months.
The scholarship is available only for full-time MBA programmes and cannot be used for part-time, distance learning or Executive MBA courses.
