On the MSc in Entrepreneurship and Innovation you will have the opportunity to work with industry and business professionals in a variety of ways, such as through group consultancy projects and career exploration treks.

Consultancy Project | Gain professional experience with clients

Our students share their experiences working on consultancy projects with external clients.

Group consultancy projects

As part of the MSc in Entrepreneurship and Innovation, you have the opportunity to work on two consultancy projects: Innovation Management in Practice and Venture Management in Practice. These both run in the second semester, from January to March.

Students will work as a team of consultants to tackle the real-world challenges faced by established organisations to consider approaches to managing innovation.

Past companies have included:

  • The Scottish Government
  • ThermaFY
  • NHS Lothian
I thoroughly enjoyed working alongside some of the brightest students that Edinburgh University has to offer on our innovation project. Working in collaboration we have created an innovation plan which we will implement into areas from within IBM. I see the impacts of this collaboration impacting our clients and I look forward to interacting with the University on future projects.
